110%. Newsletters with impact.

My newsletter work for the federal government involved two nightly news briefings, making sense of thousands of news media articles nightly.

The Washington D.C. Landscape

D.C. is a busy place - and a constant media battlefield. There was always something huge going on in the news. And it was my job to make sense of it - on a deadline!

It was my responsibility to hand select the best articles, decide which were the most pressing for our client, write it all up in narrative form, and make sure the newsletters were published on time and edited to the level a Cabinet-level official would expect.

Thousands of Mentions - Every Night

Our federal government client relied on our product to prepare them for the latest developments in the ever-increasing news cycle. Our clients - on both sides of the proverbial aisle - were often appearing on Fox News, NBC Nightly News, and other major broadcasts, explaining the President’s response to the latest crisis or disaster. With such a vast amount of incoming information, our product was critical for the client to be able to handle the message with aplomb and answer any risky question from a reporter with precision and preparedness.

Comfortable, Inside a Pressurized Cabin

With 5am deadlines in Washington D.C. and a massive amount of news to make sense of every night, I had to learn how to be a content guru at warp speed. I’ve been tempered by the high volume - and I’ve loved it! Operating at this level on a challenging schedule has given me invaluable experience at finding the right story, and the right quote, in a hurry, and putting it all together in a clean package by press time.
